Since our start as a Restaurant Management Career Fair company in October 2001,  we have grown into a full-service recruitment advertising and staffing company with a team of over 55 people. We are experts in the recruitment industry by listening to our client’s needs and learning from our successes in recruitment advertising, talent acquisition, and staffing.

Sean Self

President and CEO

Sean Self founded his company, Self Opportunity, Inc., in 2001 with the goal of providing multiple industries with progressive, revolutionary recruiting approaches, including recruitment advertising, RPO services, hiring events, and reasonably priced executive searches.

After graduating from the University of North Texas, Sean started a career in the restaurant industry. He soon advanced in his career to become one of the youngest regional managers in the industry. He left the restaurant industry in 1996 to help run Career Direction, the premier restaurant career fair company in the Nation.

As the President and CEO, Sean leads a growing team of more than seventy people. Since starting Self Opportunity, Sean has grown the company from a small family business to a thriving company that has assisted over 500 of the Nation’s top companies—in multiple industries, including Restaurant, Hospitality, Sales, Retail, Technology, Medical, and Oil & Gas.

Sean has a true passion for helping people, whether finding employment or offering encouragement. His passion for assisting people to find their purpose in life and following that passion is reflected in the mission of Self Opportunity and all of its team members.

With his unique every man’s approach to public speaking, Sean is in high demand as a speaker at regional and national conferences. In addition, he is a regular speaker at annual manager meetings and Self Opportunity’s conference, Meeting of the Minds, a best practices symposium for the recruitment & HR industry at large.

The proceeds from this conference benefit Muscular Dystrophy, a personal cause for Sean. Along with his eldest son, Harrison (who has Emery-Dreifuss Muscular Dystrophy), he speaks at events around the country to raise awareness about MDA.

When he is not working, Sean is active in his Highland Village, TX community, where he resides with his wife, Kim, and sons, Harrison and Hayden.

Brad Holley

VP of Sales

Brad Holley is the Vice President of Sales at Self Opportunity, Inc. where he oversees the day-to-day operations of the sales team. He has spent more than 20 years in recruitment and staffing. Brad enjoys connecting with clients and solving their staffing problems. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to build many long-term business relationships.

“I have found over the years that people working in Human Resources and Recruiting are just fantastic, some of the best people you will find and partner with to solve problems.”

Brad also enjoys spending time with his wife of 26 years and his children, grandchildren, and his dog, Goose. Whenever time permits, Brad is pursuing the never-ending quest to improve his golf swing.

Brian Medina

VP of Strategy & Talent Acquisition

Brian Medina is the Vice President of Strategy & Talent Acquisition at Self Opportunity, Inc. He is responsible for the marketing, new business development, client talent acquisition strategy, and vendor partnerships.

Brian loves encountering new challenges in helping clients solve their recruiting problems and establishing longstanding business relationships. Brian is a Board Member of the  Greater Dallas Chapter – The Texas Restaurant Association, the Texas Restaurant Foundation and a past president of the DFWSEM.

He is a regular speaker at the Self Opportunity Meeting of the Minds Conference and a frequent member of panel discussions on talent acquisition and recruiting strategy at the Texas Restaurant Show educational sessions.

Brian lives in McKinney, TX, with Erin, his wife of 17 years. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering on the board of Chestnut Square Historic Village, being with friends and family and frequenting the restaurants, shops, and events in the historic downtown McKinney.

Amy Cuilla

VP of Human Resources and Staffing

As the Vice President of Human Resources and Staffing at Self Opportunity, Inc, Amy Cuilla, senior certified in HR (SPHR), leads and directs the company’s HR Analysis and Strategy, and focuses on improving HR processes for Employee Relations, Staffing and Succession Planning, Employee Learning and Development, Employment Law, Risk Management, and Benefits and Compensation.

Staffing scope includes Executive Placements, Contract/Temporary Placements, and Healthcare Staffing.

Amy has spent 20 plus years in Human Resources functions with large companies gaining experience as the Regional HR Manager at FedEx, Director, Recruiting at Dave & Buster’s, and HR at Mucinex.

In her free time, Amy enjoys reading, running/hiking, and spending quality time with friends. Amy and family have dual American/Italian citizenship and they travel to Italy and Europe with family and friends on a regular basis.

Kim Self

Vice President

Kim Self is the Vice President of Recruiting at Self Opportunity, Inc. Kim is a people connector! Kim has spent the past 15 years in the Self Opportunity Recruiting Department, where she uses her special gift for connecting the right person to the right company. In addition, as a strong supporter of women in the workplace, Kim led monthly luncheon events for women’s issues.

Kim has been married to Sean Self, the President and CEO of Self Opportunity Inc., for 27 years. They have two sons, Harrison and Hayden.

During her time away from work, Kim enjoys good food, wine, traveling, and spending time at the lake with her family and friends. She is also an active member of her church.

Anthony Hash

Director of Marketing

Anthony Hash is the Director of Marketing at Self Opportunity, Inc. He oversees the company’s Advertising department and is responsible for placing employment advertising and social media posts for our clients.

Anthony has been in the recruiting, staffing, and talent acquisition industry for eight years and enjoys the variety and unique needs and challenges of each brand and client.

Anthony and his wife have two sons and a daughter, along with a menagerie of dogs, cats and chickens. When he has spare time, Anthony likes to do woodworking projects, home renovations and landscaping.

Sue Green

Controller

Sue Green has been with Self Opportunity, Inc. since 2013. As the company’s Controller, she is responsible for all financial aspects of the business. She also assists with building management, payroll and IT.

Sue has been married to her husband Sean for over 30 years. They have two married sons, Westley and Daniel, who also live in North Texas.

In her free time, Sue enjoys reading, collecting Talavera pottery, taking ballroom dance lessons with her husband and vacationing in Mexico. And, of course, Sue loves spending time with family, especially her mother Patricia and her granddaughter Freyja.
